Born in Kansas City Missouri, raised in Springfield, Kassandra is a midwest girl with plenty of sass and a worldly perspective. From a very early age, she was surrounded by music and art. Born into a family of artists, Kassandra (Kassie for short) was instilled with an appreciation for good music like Classic Rock, Jazz, and Classical. Soon, she was singing and dancing around the house to the greats like Madonna, Cher, and Donna Summer. Back then she was convinced she would grow up to become a pop diva.
Kassandra participated in many artistic conquests growing up, including painting, drawing, dance, violin, and children’s theatre workshops. But it was not until high school when she was cast in her first musical, My Fair Lady, that she found her niche and the best place in the world, the stage. In the years that would follow, Kassie found herself immersed in choir and active in the drama department, scoring many leading and supporting roles, going on to be accepted into Missouri State University's Bachelor of Fine Arts Musical Theatre program. In her four years at MSU, Kassandra was awarded scholarships for academics and made the deans list for her GPA. She has excelled in numerous dance and acting classes, private voice lessons. Kassandra also developed a passion and talent for stage makeup.
Kassandra is hard working, committed, responsive, and a fiercely passionate performer. She has had many opportunities to perform in collegiate theatre as well as in the community, landing leading roles at the historic Landers Theatre including Velma Kelly in Chicago and the saucy Sheila Bryant in A Chorus Line. Kassandra became a member of the Equity Membership Candidate Program in 2013 working with Tent Theatre. Graduating with the clas of 2014, Kassandra is determined to continue learning and growing as an artist and cannot wait to share with the world her immense passion and dedication for the art of live theatre.
